“For i know the plans i have for you, declairs the LORD. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future!” -Jeremiah 29:11 I know that God has a plan for my life and I believe that if I trust and seek the Lord with all my heart I can do great things. Because it is only through God that I can have the power, strength and ability to further his kingdom.
My name is Bethany Pawlik and I was born and raised in the land of 10,000 lakes that are frozen for half the year. Also known as Minnesota. I love it in Minnesota! it allows me to experience all 4 seasons. It gets to be 90+ in summer and there is always snow on Christmas. I was basically an only child growing up, but i do have two older sisters. Sarah (28) and Katy (30). That places me as the baby of the family at 19. because of the age difference i felt like an only child when my sisters were off at college. Sarah is now married and my brother in-law is amazing! Katy is engaged to be married in May of 2010. My family has encouraged and supported me through each and everything that i do. i feel blessed to have such a caring and supportive family.
I did PSEO my senior year in High School and currently attend Century College. i am going for my Associates there and then plan on transfering to North Western. I am flip flopping between two carriers as of now. All i know is that I want to do something that involves children.
God has been working in my life transforming my heart towards missions. Africa has always laid heavy on my heart. It started with the movie Lion King and alwyas wanting to see a wild lion and has turned into something much deeper. I am very excited for this trip to Swaziland and the experiences that we will all share. It will be fun to get to know all of you! :]
Welcome to the team. can’t wait to “meet” you!!
oo whats PSEO??
Thank you! :]
PSEO is Post Secondary Enrollment Options where basically if you are in High School you can go to college and the state will pay for you. so this year was my second year of college instead of what would have been my first.I loved it! nothing better then free college! :] all of the credits i took also covered any that i needed for high school.
oo..thanks for explaining.lol..and thats pretty awesome
So this is random Beth, but I think its awesome our last names are just a letter away from eachother. How do do pronounce yours?

Rachel, why are you coming to Minnesota??? and the Lion King thing is a little wierd, but thats just how this all got started. God works in crazy ways! even through disney movies… :]
Ashley, i didnt even notice that our last names were a letter away from eachother.Thats funny. Its pronounced paul lick.Might make more sense if you hear it.How do you pronounce Gawlick?
Its pronounced Gaw lick. Just how its spelled, but without the C. That is funny and hopefully not confusing!
I am going to Minnesota with my old foster family. She has this big show in Minneapolis and I am going to be going with them. We leave tomorrow!
do you know where you are going in Minnesota? i live by the twin cities. minneapolis, st.paul area. if you are going to the mall of america or something close and have time we should meet up! :] my number is 651-329-2793 just in case. have a fun trip!
Hey Beth, How are you doing? I still miss you like crazy. You haven’t missed much here. The weather has been very nice still, but we do need rain. Jason and I are meeting with hotels this week to get rooms reserved for next May. That is the only wedding thing I am doing so don’t worry. When you come back we will make the bracelets. I am excited to see if my vision of how I wanted them to look will actually turn out. Mr. Tubbs has been a pain. He keeps taking the hose out of his pool and shacks it around and gets me wet. I think he thinks it is a game. Jason says hi and not to get too close to a lion. ๐
I love you so much and can’t wait to start reading your blogs. Remember you are strong and wonderful. You have God on your side and all of our prayers. Love you and miss you,
Katy

Hello Beth,
I saw this quote and reminded me of you….
“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give”
You truely are giving such a wonderful thing to the people of Swaziland. You are such a blessing to them. God took you to them and thei place and God will get you through this. You are powerful and amazing, Don’t forget that.
I love you so much. Jason and Mr. Tubbs say hi.
Good Morning Beth,
Wondering what you are doing at this at this hour? I taped
NCIS LA for you.Blessings.
Are you home yet? I have your picture with your blog name hanging up at work since I spend most of my life here ๐
Hope everything is going well. I miss you like crazy. I keep thinking I need to included you on a dumb text or email. The latest email I forward on was about Macys being one of 10 companies that may be heading for bankruptcy. Seriously MACYS!!!!???? I almost had to leave work to process this all. Mom was funny and told me to “Faint on something soft. This is a national emergency, call Obama.” Anyway, It was pretty funny. Mr. Tubbs is driving me crazy. He hates the mailman and barks, barks, barks at him and follows him from house to house (or as much as he can from the fenced yard) But when Mr. Tubbs and the mailman are both outside the fence, he is so scared of the mailman. What a chicken. Anyway, I was just thinking about you. Love you and miss you
Hey you. Well Sarah and I went to the Vikings game on Sunday for the first home game with Brett Farve. It was exciting. We got tickets from Jason’s dad. It was an awesome game. They won with a great catch with 2 seconds left in the game. It was exciting. It has been raining for two days straight here. You arent missing the weather that is for sure. I hope things are going well for you. Miss you like crazy. I am so proud of you. You are doing such an amazing thing. I enjoy reading the updates and it helps putting a picture in the mind. Love you lots!
