Hey Swazi team!  I am excited to meet you all in a couple of weeks and get to know you all this fall.  I am one of your three team leaders, and I am looking forward to the ways that God is going to work in, on, and through each of us as we step out to serve Him in Swaziland.
A little bit about me…friends have told me that I am very much a Colorado girl.  Growing up on a farm near the mountains has shaped who I am – I would rather be outside than inside, I would rather be in the mountains than the city, I would rather be moving than sitting still, I would rather be wearing fleece, capris, and chaco sandels than dressing up…and I would rather be eating Chipotle than Qdoba.  I have lived in Colorado all of my life, and all of my family still lives here.  I have an older sister, Annaliese (who is married with a 3 year old boy and a 5 month old girl) and a younger sister, Abby (who is married with a 7 year old girl and a 2 year old boy).  I love my family and the time that I get to spend with them!
A little bit about how I got here…after serving in ministry in a local church for several years, God began to continually strengthen the burden on my heart for the lost people around the world – outside of suburban America.  Yet He continued burden my heart for young adults in the US, many of whom He is calling to serve Him in full time missions.  So, to make a REALLY long story short, in order to be faithful to this combination of passions on my heart, this spring I announced my resignation from the church in order to transition into this new phase of ministry in my life – and here I am!
I am honored to serve alongside each of you this fall, and am praying for you as we prepare for our journey together!
